Scout Fellowship Meeting report 20th November 2008

The Scout Fellowship met at the District HQ on Thursday 20th November.

At the recent Scout Fellowship Meeting on 20th November it was made known that the Newton Abbot Museum has agreed to display Scouting memorabilia (books, camping gear, badges, pennants, and other small items) during 2009. Any of these items can be brought along to the District HQ on Friday 12 December or at the coffee morning on Sat. 13 December (or contact Ken Purchase Tel: 01626 353063); all items will be ‘security marked’ to avoid any loss, and receipts will be issued for all items.

Scout Fellowship Meeting report 18th September 2008

The Scout Fellowship met at the District HQ on Thursday 18th September.
Items of interest included:-

• A Cooking Challenge will take place on Saturday 1st November at the Bovey Tracey Scout HQ.
• The Newton Abbot Museum has agreed to mount a Scouting Display in February 2009.
• The Funeral of Ken Bennett, a Past Vice President of the District, has recently been held. The District Commissioner attended.
• The Funeral of Richard Cridge (Explorer Scout of Dawlish) has recently taken place attended by representatives from the District.
• The Annual Scout fellowship Lunch will take place on Saturday 7 February 2009; venue to be announced.
• David Potter has volunteered to take charge of the Saturday Coffee Morning rota.
