Back to News ListMeetings have been held with representatives from Abbotskerswell and Hennock to discuss the starting up of Scout Group activities in these areas. A number of potential leaders have been interviewed in the hope that Scout Groups will be commenced.
The District Commissioner, Alan Partridge, has every hope that Scouts will commence at these centres during this year bringing the number of Groups to 16 in the District from only 9 in 2007.
Four new Groups were added in 2009 and three this year.
Two Beavers (Lewis and Toby) have gained their Chief Scout's Bronze Award.

The Cub Pack has been busy decorating old T-shirts for Operation Smile run by BBC 'Blue Peter' programme.
The T-shirts are to be used as 'operation gowns' for children of Third World countries when having 'cleft palate' operations.

4th Teignmouth Group COMES OF AGE.
The Group has recently celebrated its Centenary of Scouting, with the Group being started in December 1909.
A special Badge has been designed by Scout Ellie Pepperwell which will be worn for the rest of this year.

1st Highweek Cubs came Third in the recent County Shield Competition completing tasks at eight bases.
